7 Best Fall Outdoor Workouts: Boost Your Fitness with Fall Inspired Exercise

Fall is finally here! Pretty soon we will all be spending time with family creating loving memories over food (And many of those food items are not so healthy).  Staying active is extremely important in the fall because Hot Girl Summer is always just around the corner. Losing an hour of daylight doesn't mean you can't stay fit.

City Cycling

Cycling is an excellent low-impact cardio exercise that doubles as eco-friendly transportation in urban areas.

How to do it:

Use bike-sharing programs if available in your city, or invest in your own bicycle. Commute to work by bike, or explore your city's bike lanes and paths on weekends for a more intense workout. If you're not ready for outdoor biking check out a studio like SoulCycle or Cycle Bar.

Stair Climbing

Many urban buildings offer perfect opportunities for stair climbing, a great cardio and leg-strengthening exercise.

How to do it:

Find a public building with accessible stairs or use the stairs in your apartment building. Start with a few flights and gradually increase as your fitness improves.

Urban Hiking

Discover your city on foot with urban hiking, combining exercise with exploration. Many cities have incredible Japanese gardens or arboretums where you can hike and enjoy nature while increasing your cardio.

How to do it:

Plan routes that incorporate parks, interesting neighborhoods, and local landmarks. Use stairs instead of elevators when encountering hills or tall buildings along your route.

Outdoor Bodyweight Workouts

Use fixtures for a full-body workout without any equipment.

How to do it:

Utilize park benches for step-ups and tricep dips, use sturdy railings for incline push-ups, and find a bar in a local park for pull-ups. Open spaces in parks are perfect for lunges, squats, and burpees. Make it fun by including friends or family who are up for the challenge. Doesn’t count if its not posted on Instagram!

Yoga in the Park

If you live in the South, the weather is finally bearable. Practice yoga in urban green spaces to connect with nature within the city.

How to do it:

Find a quiet spot in a local park or green space. Use an eco-friendly yoga mat made from sustainable materials. Many cities offer free outdoor yoga classes in parks.

hot girl Walk

Turn your daily commute into a workout by choosing active transportation methods. Set a steps goal for each day or week and get to stepping!

How to do it:

Walk, jog, or cycle to work instead of driving or taking public transport. If you live far from your workplace, try getting off public transport a few stops early and walking the rest of the way. If drive to work you you can always park a little further away to get in a few extra steps at work or the grocery store.

HIIT it!

High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) can be done anywhere and requires no equipment.

How to do it:

Find an open space in a local park. Perform exercises like jump squats, high knees, burpees, and mountain climbers in short, intense bursts followed by brief rest periods.

Remember, whatever exercise you choose always focus on your health and aim to make tiny lifestyle shifts, Many of these activities can be social too - consider joining local groups or inviting friends to make your workouts more enjoyable. Embrace the unique opportunities your city offers and stay fit in an environmentally conscious way!
